Glenis Contreras has extensive experience providing direct counseling services to individuals since 2012. She has worked with children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly in various settings.
Glenis Contreras is a highly skilled clinician specializing in Trauma, Depression, Anxiety, and Immigration Evaluations. With extensive experience conducting mental health assessments, she possesses a comprehensive understanding of various immigration cases, including asylum, hardship waivers, and VAWA. Fluent in Spanish, Glenis is dedicated to providing thorough and compassionate evaluations. Additionally, she may be available to testify in federal immigration cases to support applicants.
Glenis takes a holistic approach to therapy, focusing on the well-being of the whole person – physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and social aspects. She believes in treating the root causes of distress, not just the symptoms. Her goal is to help clients develop effective coping mechanisms to manage life stressors and improve their overall well-being.
Glenis Contreras is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and certified in Mind-Body Medicine by the Center for Mind-Body Medicine. These techniques equip her clients with practical tools to manage their thoughts, emotions, and physical responses to challenges and trauma. In addition to her therapy practice, Glenis also works as a Clinical Supervisor and Coach, providing guidance and support to other mental health professionals.
